I think it was you I told that too about GMs
But he's saying that as a projected playoff team who is expected to be picking around 15-20 or later. Markieff was originally picked 13th and getting a player like him at that spot of the draft might not sound like a win to many people but it is. If they have the 20th pick and they're trying to fight for the playoffs, they aren't getting much output from that guy while he's on his cap friendly rookie deal.Is this dude retarded? :whatda:
Did he not see Karl Towns immediately make an impact his rookie year? :bronwtf:
Did he forget that John Wall and Bradley Beal were high draft picks? :timcant:
Markieff Morris a proven player? :saswhat:
Yeah you did in the draft talk thread.
I do know this much that Wizards roster needs and overhaul and Brad Beal scares me as he's looking like another Eric Gordon....However I recall at one time Steph Curry was very injury prone as well and I see how that turned out...But when I hear that a player under 24 has a career minutes restriction it makes me think are they really worth a max?
I'm curious to see what the Wiz end up doing...11 free agents and the only pieces to me that is untouchable is Wall....The rest can be moved.

The difference is those teams are trying to win a title.Mark Cuban feels the same way and has said so many times. Rick Carlisle feels the same and doesn't want to deal with young players. Add to that, you have a GM in Donnie Nelson that loves to try and find projects.
Beal does have injury woes. Obviously, it is a risk you don't want to take for the max but he's worth a lot to many teams including his own. He will get the Max in this free agency climate. Maybe five years ago, he wouldn't be close a max cat.Yeah you did in the draft talk thread.

worst GM in the NBA. I dont want to have a debate on that. Those are his words. We cant develop players so we wont bother.

They have no plan![]()
What makes it worse is that Jan went back to Europe and became elite. Now he wants to try the NBA againYes but the good ones aren't routinely cleaning up their own messes like Grunfeld has done
The Morris trade is a perfect example.
This guy had 2 1st round picks in the top 18 of the 2011 NBA Draft.
He took the two guys who turned out to be busts with Vesely being an obvious bust since he had no basketball skill. I'll never forget driving home that night from my internship, putting on WTOP Radio, hearing the entire Czech Embassy was at Verizon Center and screaming out loud because I knew who they were taking an hour later.
Because of that blunder we trade our 2016 pick to get a guy we could have gotten at #6 overall. For God's sake there was two Morris players we could have picked and either would have been better than the trash we got.
