I’ve seen multiple folks on social media say they’ve done this

I kno the internet be cap but I got more trust in y’all, have y’all ever tried this? What was your strategy and how’d work for u?

I've done 2 different 14 day fasts. (1 happened to fall on Lent by accident).

First 2 days, whatever.
3rd and 4th day - Praying to God, this is awful.
5-14 - conscious of everything. Smell every bit of food anywhere.

Physically - System - emptied out. Nothing left.

Electrolytes - I had the Sodium, Potassium, and Mg on deck. Snake Juice, and other electrolytes - it's just ends up being a low grade headache all day, hard to sleep at night (too much energy), and pissing out whatever you drink in within 15 minutes.

I personally found it impossible to get the right amount of electrolytes to keep the headaches at bay.

Mental clarity - none.

First bit of spinach and soup to break the fast - best food ever.

1) I did not do it for Lent. I would not. If I did, I'd go the full 40 days.

2) It was an experience if anything.
Weight goes on, weight goes off. I know I can do it, if push comes to shove - but I can't think of anything but an apocalypse where going without food for 2-3 weeks is necessary.

3) Not at all. I'm probably the last person to even broach those types of topics.

An extended fast like that is not something I'd recommend to anyone. And I'd been doing keto, if, alternate day fasting, 72 hour fasting, multiple times before I did a big one.

The thing I learned about fasting - it's way easier to do when you're active - like you're traveling from place to place. I've tried 36/48/72 hour fasts since work from home, and it's just too hard for me to not cook something up.

I’ve done 3 days, just water only. Felt an energy spike on Day 2.

Day 3 I was feeling bad, low energy.

I broke the fast starting day 4. My stomach had shrunk so I could only eat small meals. Gradually, I ate more as the days went by.

I wouldn’t do it again unless I wanted to reset my diet. Fasting is a preparation for an activity or lifestyle Im trying to have discipline for.

I think I 'water fasted' for at least a week while I was waiting for my paycheck during covid.
