I remember as a kid, women would always compliment on my "big beautiful brown eyes"
Then, junior high school happened.
I remember the exact day.
I'm in gym class. My female cousin, named, Tara, was sitting next to me on the bleachers.
Now, Tara was a big girl growing up.
And to this day, she still struggles with her weight.
Anyway, we're sitting there and a group of our mutual friends began to sit with us.
We're all talking and shyt. You know......just shooting the breeze.
I forget the name of the event, but we had to run back and forth and grab a chalk board eraser.
When my turn came up, I stepped onto the floor with my right foot. But my left foot got stuck. So, I fell onto the floor.
No biggie. Everyone was laughing. Even I was laughing.
I was getting up and I heard,
"He looks like a dragon fly!"
I looked and Tara was pointing dead at me. Not laughing.
Then more laughter erupted.
It turned from a goofy thing into a ridiculing situation.....all caused by cousin Tara.
I think that was the last time I ever spoke to Tara.
I'm sure I was her sacrifice to focus on me instead of the negative attention she thinks she would've received when she tried to do the event.
