Yes.

Las Vegas to San Antonio, got a better job than any other I've had before, within 2 weeks I was on boarding, despite not even being able to land a crappy one in Vegas for months. However I know how these boards feels about heavily Mexican populations.

Houston I can imagine is another one where you could find the same luck. Pretty much the only places I can recommend are in the South.

Just grind and make connections(play your part and become friendly with people) that truly will open doors for you.
Looking to move back to Cali within a year or two...

Any tips? Im supposed to be moving to Oregon between now and next summer, but im scared to move without a job. Wanted to wait until I secured a fellowship before I move but now im thinking i need to just get over there ASAP. I also have to take my dogs with me, so ill have to find a house to rent.

Yes. New York (originally Boston) to Orange County California. I live in one of the beach cities.

Would I do it again? Probably not. I got extremely lucky out here.

Did everything work out? To a 'T'.

I gave up my entire network of clients (freelance web developer) to come out here.

Why you say never move for love?

If you are married or seriously thinking about it then I say yeah but other then that, nah.
shyt just switched up so fast.
Having phone conversations, face timing, etc are not enough.
You need to be around that person ALOT to see how they really are.
I don't regret it, even though that shyt stung for months, but personally I would never do it, especially if you have to depend on that person for everything.

She was clingy
She lied about her last relationship( still in love with ole boy)
Reality of being with a black guy( she was Taiwanese) set in
She helped me a lot and I'll never talk bad about her but maybe next life time..

Why did you go back?

I got home sick for no reason.
shyt happens for a reason though because when I came back I got serious with what is now my wife, we have a son,and we're doing good. Had I stayed in Dallas I would probably be better off financially because people in Dallas move a little more solid than people in Atlanta but I wouldn't have my family so I'm happy with the decision.
