This is why I said James Harden and I'm getting killed lol

It took a while for harden to become harden in Houston.
As okc had an internal admin coup setup to lowball him.
by having his play restricted in his rookie contract.
So, it affected him confidence wise to a number of variables till he was able to actualize his potential.
Despite an organization purposefully trying to keep him from materializing. at his normal natural pace as a confident professional ball player.
Imo, your comments should have mentioned what incarnation of the timeline harden you were referring to.
As harden and a number of pros from that era like Courtney lee, in Orlando his rookie year to the off season of their second year. are the victims of organizations trying to lowball and administratively tinker. with the natural upside to these players to save money.
Harden just got a better shake of the situation and was able to persevere.
So, I feel that your comments are taking a hit.
All because you should clarify what harden era in the career timeline you are referring to.

Most people don't know the history of these players.
They just know the mainstream professional marketing pop culture construct.
They don't know the entire gamut of that players background and skill set.

So, you should clarify what portion in the timeline of the player you are using as a reference for comparison.

People need to stop bringing up Steph Curry when they discuss "shooters". Curry is one of kind.

Teams should pick the best college players available regardless of their age. 22 year old senior is still young.

Hield reminds me of JJ Redikk.

True, genetically curry has the genes of the best shooter arguably in NBA history coursing through his veins.
So, I can give you the idea that curry is one of a kind.
Curry is that goat player at any bball court that is killing everybody despite his size or physiology.
So, I agree curry is a one of a kind.
Buddy could be a jimmer.
Yet, I would like to think this kid shows more than that.
As far as the comparison to jj.
I could see you comparing buddy to jj in his current incarnation as a pro this season with the clippers as a low side.
Yet, I see heil being more than a bust journeyman like jj.
As jj is the stereotypical white bust journeyman player from duke.
As jj is all system and has always been a system authenticated high IQ player by pedigree on paper.
Yet, he has to be in the best situation possible to see him do really well.
With buddy, he will not be a standard white player from duke bust at all in general perception.
That all white players from duke are in general after a standout career in college at duke.
Jj's best asset is if you get him to a championship round.
By pedigree you have to factor in the fact duke and Kansas players rise to the occasion in this Gen in this championship round situation.
In that I don't see buddy having that as a parameter and i don't see him having the bust headaches that jj has had.
Where jj is only saved because of duke pedigree and being white.
Imo, if buddy is a bust like most duke white players are in general.
He will not be around like a white duke player regardless.
Nor, will he be given as many chances to fail up like a white duke player.
If buddy is a bust.
THE comparison to a white player, buddy will be a bust similar to is the:

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
I'd take him in the top 5 personally. Ben Simmons the only dude i would take over him undoubtedly

If he keeps this up he will do well in the draft because teams are gonna want the next Stephen curry and refuse to realize he's basically a once in a lifetime player

Yall always fall for these old seniors :snoop: no handle or vision and a good not great athlete 3&D rotation guy :russell:
Him being a 3 & D rotation guy makes him useful and in a weak draft, it inflates his value since everyone wants shooting. The expectation shouldn't be much more than that though and I doubt anyone's drafting Hield because they thing he's gonna be an all-star wing who can carry the team. This is a draft where you're looking for spare parts to round out a squad.

Which isnt a bad guy to be compared to. Reddikks best attributes are obviously his ability to shoot and having the self awareness to know his limitations.

I'm not taking that in the top 5 or top 10.

You won't get much more in terms of upside in the top 10. Hield is a safe pick if you think he'll shoot well in the NBA (btw, NOT a huge fan of this draft)

I can see Hield going top 10 in this draft. Top 5 is a no for me, but top 10 is reasonable given the lack of depth

It's not about that. His ball handling in general makes Wiggins look like Kyrie.
That's some extreme hyperbole breh:rudy:. Love Wiggins but he's one of the worst wing dribblers I've seen in the NBA. Buddy is definitely a better ball handler than Wiggins

I think Brown sucks but I'm in the minority. Rabb too. He screams "I am Noah Vonleh"

Zimmerman I think will stay in school. Not sure on Stone.

Poeltl I'm not high on either.
