Was this a serious post?
I thought they only went up to 64gb. Didn't know the new iPhone was made with more capacity. My galaxy 7 only goes up to 64gb. I wasn't referring to including the sd card on it, just the phone storage. I got a 128gb card in here myself. I only know about Samsung not iPhones. My bad. :hubie:

It's only a matter of time before smartphones can project onto a much larger screen without the use of Mods or some other electronic device add-on.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a 128gb phone soon. What's the highest right now, 64gb? I also see them improving battery life. I think that removable batteries will soon be obsolete. Don't know if many phone have them now tho. I don't know if the technology will change much like you said. The focus was on virtual reality recently but that won't change much on the phones. I doubt the screen sizes get much bigger either. I really don't know what could be done other than a complete revolution of the mobile landscape.

I have a Galaxy S6 Edge that is 128gb, and that came out almost 2yrs ago. The one thing they need is better battery life, stronger antennas, and better connectivity to the network (missed, dropped calls and text messages should be a thing of the past).

Apple iPhone 7 Plus is the most powerful phone out there but no apps use it's full power. There's not even any games that can push it to its limit.

I see phones getting more into biometrics (finger, eye detection, body function monitoring) (Call 911 if it senses a stroke or some shyt)
House and car automation etc
I like these ideas. They already have fingerprint sensors on the phones. I had an old phone that had facial recognition. Wouldn't be surprised if we see eye recognition one day but of course it's gotta be cautious due to potential for harm. We already got phones exploding in your pocket, don't need one in your eye.

I think as far as home and car connectivity, we're starting to get the beginnings of that. There's android auto, plus phones already link to cars thru Bluetooth. I'm seeing more updated features, traffic, weather, news, etc. As far as homes, soon everything will be integrated with the phones. The technology is fairly new now so I don't think it's that big but i agree that it's the future.

I see why now. Your phone doesn't have the sd card slot, explains the bigger storage. Which is necessary with how much people put on their phones these days.

The short answer is no, in 5 years, we'll have mobile devices that do that you can't imagine right now.

I'm sure, but I was asking - will processing power even make a perceptible difference for simple tasks/ is there even a need to upgrade if all you do is some messaging, calling and internet browsing?

Pretty soon these chips are going to catch up to the Macbook Pros and even in a full blown laptop that much juice is overkill for the casual user.
