Have y'all ever seen someone get hypnotized?

I remember at college orientation, the "entertainment" was a hypnotist.

I was skeptical about it, but once you see it happen live, to random people you know aren't acting/pretending, it's wild as hell.

The mind is amazing.

Hypnosis is real. Like j said, I saw it in person live. I had the option to do it myself but I declined,whike my friends did it. You mean to tell me my friends got paid when we all had the option to participate?

Everyone doesnt automatically know how to "act" and lay perfectly still in a state of deep sleep in uncomfortable positions.

It's got everything to do with being a willing subject

it is all about power of suggestion and people's ignorance. If it was real it would be much more practical and part of our every day lives. Well that level of hypnosis any way.

Why because I dont agree with you? Watch the video. Some of those kids are waiting for their queue, looking around. Being put under hypnosis is like getting a buzz and going with the flow. You dont need any special training to pretend like you're asleep. They could've walked off the stage if they wanted to.

It is about the belief/power of suggestion, but that's what puts the person "under".

If you've seen it happen in front of you, these people are not acting. You can ask them to do something and they won't so much as budge b/c ur voice is not the one they're under the hypnosis to.

Hypnosis is real. There are dentistry offices who use hypnosis instead of numbing or anesthesia. However, it only works on certain kinds of people.
