Yes. Only thing I learned was that people are into different shyt. Dating her, a mexican girl, was really no different from dating a black girl. I knew a black buddhist who was a sweetheart but her thoughts and philosophies were out there. My family has been fraught with breakups and whatnot, and my immediate family loves each other, though to someone outside looking in...it probably wouldnt seem so.
The mexican girl? I went over her house for a halloween party and it was 40 some people deep, 10 or so being kids. They took me in, served me a couple different types of soup, we watched a few horror movies...it was dope.
But funny thing: it was no different from how my black friends families treated me, save for the spanish and the number of Coronas consumed.
Its really no big deal unless you are about to marry a chick, then you have to meet in the middle on cultural and religious affairs, and be 100% prepared for someone in one or both of the families to say some slick shyt. And it might be racist. Dating has its hurdles whether you date in or not...it just gets weirder when there is an issue and the lack of "brotherhood" from being from the same ethnicities isnt there. People get defensive and abrasive. It is what it is.
Dating out isnt better or worse...you just have potentially more barriers you wouldnt have with someone within your ethnicity.

They got out of wedlock affairs/babies that are covered up by families, they got that "ain't shyt" brother, they like the same pop station dominated by Beyonce, they like the same type of jokes, "chester the molestor" ass uncle, they face racism too, they care about money, they got families stunting on credit, hoes that go to church but still hoes, etc.
With all of this racism shyt that's going on now in the 2010s, if people realized we have more in common than we have different, we wouldn't need to build safe spaces, walls, borders and all this other useless shyt to kept ourselves from believing the truth about life.
