I remember when I graduated from my university that my sister took my entire family and my girl out to dinner. I still had my graduation cap and gown on and there was this occupied table next to us. When the elder black man from the table next to us saw me he said "You just graduated? Such a beautiful thing to witness. I'm proud of you. You've done something that a lot of us don't get to do. You keep your head up and keep us on a high standard." His words took me by surprise but they made me feel great. I want to know a time this happened to you.

In HS, I used to do habitat for humanity when I was trying to build my college resume.

One day, it rained out so we had to reschedule and everyone took the bus back to campus.
I was going to as well but I saw that the family (just a boy and his mom) had come out to see the progress on the house.

The little kid (probably about 8-10) with a soccer ball. I was like... i dont have anything planed for the next couple of hours so i passed the ball around with him for about an hour until the next bus came.

Before I left, the mom was damn near in tears saying "thank you, thank you, you have no idea how much this means to him!"


breh i was almost choked up just seeing how emotional she was.
shyt, I didn't even do anything, I just kicked a ball for an hour. Not like I was giving him life lessons or mentoring. I didn't feel worthy of what she was saying to me.

but that moment will always stay with me.

Apparently I inspire people all the time, and I cry at all these stories. You never realize who needs you to just be your best self.

I see people getting paid that turn around and say it was something I said that put them on that path. Funny thing is, im broke lmao.

A poster on here won't mention his name was going through a rough patch and asking for money , apart of me thought dude was trolling etc but I sent him some money through PayPal. He said he would pay me back when he's back on his feet but I thought nothing of it. Until like months later I get a email from PayPal that I received money dude paid me back and said thanks you don't know how much getting that money meant.
