DMV slang is timeless. Except we don't call bad joints "bait" anymore really.

This. I still say some old school DMV slang like “that jont tight”, “like a mug”, “youse a bama”, “kirkin’ out”, “fakin’ like”, “I’m siced”, and “funny down” but then again I’m 25 and I’m older than 97% of the DMV kids who go to my HBCU (most of whom are ages 17-21) and they pretty much consider me Ol’ Head status which I’m more than fine with. I’ve adopted a few of the new shyt that the younger generation of the DMV are saying like “bob” (I still prefer moe tho), “good look”, “headass”, “faceass”, “glizzy” “legs”, and shyt but I prefer spitting the stuff that I grew up with.

I rarely say bait anymore tho and Ion really say “joe” since the youth hasn’t said that since I was in middle school (04-06) and that word is pretty much OG status for the older folk (mid-30’s on up).

Niece tried to make me feel :flabbynsick: for saying "chill out" a few years back.

Her: "You still say chill out? :smh:"

Me: " Yeah...it's words."

I don't know what I should have said "Calm your nerves?" "Settle down?" "Cool your jets." What was the correct combination of words? I didn't know, was literally lost after that. Around that time I knew I had caught the flabby and it was time to get down with the sickness.

Then again, when you're older you don't really care about being 'lame' that stuff only seems to matter when you're a dumb youngster and the peer pressure of appearing 'lame' gets to you. Now it's whatever. I've adopted "calm down " for not serious situations and now that has caught on with her (of course) and she says it when I get too hyped up.

I said "tight" freshmen year of hs and got lit the fukk up and that was like 10 years ago. So it's definitely:flabbynsick:

My little sister home girls say "clutch" a lot. They're like 20-21.
