I'm not talking about having a falling out with someone over something specific or an argument or a grudge... I'm not talking about "cutting people off" so you can grow...

I'm talking about having someone you considered a friend and then one day, for absolutely no legit reason, or if youre honest a dumb reason, you didn't consider them a friend anymore.

Once with a dude I considered a really close friend. He and his family helped me through a tough time in middle/high school, and although we went to different universities kept in contact, and hung out whenever we could. Fast forward a few years later I was able to pay it forward by getting him a job at my father's business when he got back from AZ after a failed start up. My father ended up terminating him because he kept violating confidentiality policy (my old man owns an engineering firm, and some items are very sensitive). Still cool...Then one day about a year later he just stopped answering my calls. We went to a mutual friends grandmothers funeral, and he was acting weird as hell...That was the last time I saw/heard from him. I just know he's married now with 2 boys. Just helped me realize all friendships aren't meant to last forever. Reason, season, or life time.

If I ever just stopped talking to someone they weren’t really a friend, more so just an acquaintance at that particular moment in life.

I only ever had one close homie who I stopped fukking with and I made that very clear.

Only thing that comes close is one of my childhood friends got together with a terrible girlfriend and ended up marrying her after she tricked him into getting her pregnant, because she lied about being on birth control. That woman was a horrible human being and due to her jealousy, it was impossible to meet him without her being present. I stopped fukking with him because I couldn't stand her, but I don't know if that counts as cutting him off without reason.

Not everyone grows at the same pace and some people just want to pull you back when they see you're about to lap em because they didn't listen when you tried to put em up on Game. That and some people just get funky as time progresses...
