These posts show exactly why there needs to be repercussions for women who lie about men raping them, to sit there and basically say it is OK for these women to ruin men's lives because they were upset about how they were treated?

I still believe the vast majority of rape reports to be true. A lot of times real rapists get off because of a lack of evidence, it's a tough crime to prove. However, I don't believe that people should believe accusations without proof.

I think women who lie about rape should be put in jail for twice as long as the person who they lied on would've been in there. I also think that the wrongly accused person should get money for their time spent in jail and should be able to sue the person who lied on them.
It seems like people are more willing to forgive or accept a man who was accused of shooting another man than they are of a man accused of rape.

It's not as simple as punishing false accusers because then victims would be even MORE afraid of coming forward in case they don't have enough evidence and run the risk of doing jail time themselves after already having been raped. As much as it's tempting to point the finger at the extreme minority of girls who actually have the balls to get someone convicted on false rape charges, the greater good is definitely in giving victims the benefit of the doubt as an overwhelming majority of girls actually face sexual abuse in some form even if it isn't full blown rape. The feminists actually have it right on this one

I can't say definitively what happened, but this story was from high school.....I happened to know both the girl and the guy. Matterfact the girl was interested in me at one point. She was really cute girl, a year younger than me.

Long story short the guy was an upperclassmen and the girl was a freshman. They were "caught" in the middle of some sexual activity in a closet in school. She said it was rape, it went to trial, and was a major case for the area, because they actually lived in the same neighborhood. He was deemed innocent, and both of them had to transfer.

The consensus from people was that she screamed rape after they got caught....who knows though. It fuucks peoples lives up. The guy is a family man and doing well now. I saw the girl a few years later at a college basketball tournament. It was awkward, but I think she's doing ok too.
