How did you learn to make the right investment?

Wish I could make 1500 into 100k idk what I would do if that actually happened.

:wow:
The way the market is now this probably your last chance to do that exponentially
I'm up like 2k on my investments now and I think I'mma just straight up take all my money off the stock market into crypto, let the shyt crash, and use my crypto gains to buy back into that

I got lucky when someone on another message board made a thread about ripple (XRP)...I liked the opportunity/investment but was skeptical so I invested a few months worth of “sneaker money” w/ the understanding that it could be a waste of time/money so $1500 was an amount I was “comfortable” losing

after that I made $$$ by following the crowd but I was also losing $$$ and missing out on opportunities bcuz when following the crowd you are more than likely getting information late...this was a learning period for me...I noticed there were some members in the same thread about ripple (it eventually evolved into a cryptocurrency thread) who had more “luck” than others...instead of focusing on what they invested in I focused on why they invested into certain projects

there’s no “rule” but 3 things I look for in a token project is purpose...partnerships and community...personally I like utility platform building tokens but that’s irrelevant...there are various types of projects that are successful...partnerships are key...it doesn’t matter how “great” the tech is purported to be if a project doesn’t have alliances w/ major companies which should be verified thru the companies twitter accounts and not random rumors from “experts” then it’s not going to make for a great long-term investment imo...partnerships are the number one thing to look for imo...community is also very important which I’ll use to include the project team as well as advisors...I have seen worthless projects (no unique purpose, average tech) succeed bcuz they had a strong community and alliances (a great example of this is DOGE coin and its affiliation w/ elon musk...that project is trading on places like robinhood)

long story short...you have to be a part of the culture somewhat...watch youtube vids...twitter feeds...reddit forums...telegram etc. granted I don’t put too much stock in these social media experts but when starting off you may pick up a thing or too until you get to a point where you’re comfortable w/ your own ability to research projects...not to sound cliche but experience is the best teacher...all of 2017 was a great learning experience...as well as 2018 even tho the bear market taught me a tough lesson I needed to learn...there was a time when “research” consisted of me looking @ websites and logos to see if they looked “professional” and browsing thru whitepapers looking for typos but now I can fully articulate using the appropriate lingo why I think a project can be successful using legitimate information that can be substantiated and not just running off rumors...I can interpret charts a little bit better etc.

in 2017 it was easier to “hit a lick” for lack of a better term bcuz everything was sort of “new” especially w/ ICOs pulling in major amounts of $$$ kind of similar to the dotcom bubble...w/ the bust in 2018 we are now @ a point where we’re gonna see the amazons, googles, netflixes etc. of crypto emerge so it’s going to require more effort/foresight to pick “winners”

The I in Team
I made some bread being a expert for investors on LinkedIn. It was weird how it went down too. A company contacted me randomly and said investors were looking for experts in certain fields so they could be more informed before they invest. At first I thought it was a scam and looked into the company and they were legit. Since I didn’t care when they asked me what my rate was I was $250 an hour. They’re was like cool. I was like :stopitslime:. Took a few calls and logged the time. When that first check came in I was like :ohhh:.

In college i used to flip my old textbooks and books that ppl left around the school on bigwords.com .. just type the isbn # and they give u a price comparison on what different sites will pay for the book. U print the label n ship n get a check. Good small hustle for college brehs

Also made $400 once flipping 2 bill burr tickets on stubhub. Tickets were first come first serve so i got em for $50 each. When i couldnt go i posted them on stubhub for $250 a piece n someone actually bought them

my plug been trying to get me on the crypto thing for a bit now, what you telling me breh, is it boomin right now?

no it’s not...which is good...the mistake some ppl made was they waited until the market was “booming” and it was on the news and by that time it was “too late”...most of those ppl got burned...you have to really believe in crypto to buy-in when prices are low and public sentiment is down and then sell when prices are high and public sentiment is up...this is easier said than done bcuz when euphoria and FOMO set in it’s tough to keep emotions in check...it can be an expensive lesson to learn...that being said the market is definitely turning around compared to 2018...any project worth a shyt has steadily been on the rise from the beginning of 2019...it’s very reminiscent of 2017...2018 has taught me to temper my expectations but I can’t help but feel there will be a decent run toward the end of 2019 thru the beginning of 2020 leading into the bitcoin halving
