I've felt tons of things that I couldn't explain. But are those things attributed to a "God"? What is "God"? Is it merely a higher power? Of course there are higher powers than myself. But do those higher powers deserved to be worshipped? Do those higher powers give a fukk about me? Are they watching me and judging my everything move?
The concept of a God that does those things seems very unlikely to me. But that's me. One thing I'd never do is try to convince a believer in God, in the traditional sense , to hold my beliefs. I was a believer before, so I know that it's damn near impossible to do so. Trying to convince a believer that his beliefs are not right is futile because you're basically not only telling that person that what they hold near and dear is wrong, but you're also telling that person that they're mother is wrong, they're grandparents are wrong, their entire family is wrong, all of their friends are wrong. That's not something most people can take. I know I couldn't. I remember having debates with atheist cac's in college about this when I was on the other side and wanting to smack the shyt out of them. It's hilarious to think about today lol. Not believing is something that people have to arrive at on their own. Believe whatever you want to believe it if it makes you feel good breh. I have no problems with anybody believing in God. I'm not one of those non believers that feels like they have to convince people to shun their beliefs. Most believers are good people, and taking away the comfort of having a God to lean on in any situation is not something I'm compelled to do. Being a atheist, ESPECIALLY A BLACK ATHEIST, is not easy. Especially when it comes to dealing with hardships in life. Only the strong...
