When I met Kobe

Dude was nice as hell and made you feel like you were the only person in the room when he was speaking to you…:childplease:

I had tears come down when I saw Jordan in person. His last year with the Wizards vs. clippers. I was 16 or 17 I think, risked my job and brought a camera and shyt…:mjlol:

I would probably trip out of if I was able to have seen Michael Jackson in person too.

But being able to speak with Kobe, LeBron, and be a few feet away from MJ…:whoo::ohlawd:

I’ve been blessed man.
Be grateful you had the opportunity to experience other men, brehs

no…I was a dikkhead each and every time…what’s crazy in hindsight is they were cool and a couple actually looked like they wouldn’t have mind if I said wassup but it was the 90s/00s and ain’t nobody was gonna make fun of me in no skit about groupie nikkas…the only exceptions I can think of are aaliyah, remy ma and rihanna

Met quite a few Celebs/Actors/Musicians/Athletes. The most memorable ones:

Chuck D and Kool Herc, through Terry Wilson, host of his show Terry Wilson and the Midnight Ravers, Fridays at Midnight on 99.5 FM WBAI. This was back in 06'. Met Brother Terry working overnight at Target, he was paying off his Sons College Educations. At the time Chuck D and Herc had shows, would speak with them occasionally but rarely about music, just Life. Really cool Brothers who wanted the best for Young Black Men growing up at that time on the East Coast.

Also met Black Uhuru, childhood friends of Bob Marley, Colin "Ska" Johnson a Reggae artist from London, and a slew of other Musicians and Poets I can't recall at the moment.

Terry Wilson is one of the most Amazing Men on this Earth. Intelligent, Easy-Going, Calm but spoke intensely. Funny story, he hated weaves, and would always brag about how African Women never wore them. One time we were reading some magazine at work, and it had a picture full of Women from I think Rwanda or Ghana, they ALL had Weaves hahaha. He didn't talk to us the rest of the night haha.

For anyone interested in his Programs, 99.5 FM still plays older Broadcasting from all of their previous shows, every Friday Night, Midnight to 3am. Everything from Reggae, Soul, Hip Hop, History and so on:

Another interesting one was Rihanna, back in 08 or 09, at Best Buy, for a Meet n Greet. My younger Sister was a fan and I knew some people who worked there, just had to wait until the end when the Best Buy employees can meet with her (the line outside was extremely long and we would've missed if we had to wait). I was able to get her a picture and autograph. I will say, Rihanna looked even more beautiful in person, and was sweet to both of us. I was luckily able to ask her a question like how many more events like this she has scheduled and Rihanna said something like it gets exhausting but she loves her fans and appreciates all of them.

Can't front, I was smitten the entire time and my Sister still teases me about it to this day.
