Once when I was 15 someone got shot over a basketball game, I wasn't up super close but it was crazy, I think the homie that got shot survived though.

Saw mad bodies and shootings when I was young (4-8), but that was in a literal civil war.
Interestingly enough I don't think it's had any lasting negative impact on me, I didn't even know that was a thing til like HS, I just considered it a fact of growing up. But then again I know lots of people that have PTSD from the same civil war.
Getting chased with a knife and shot at (HS and University respectively) prob impacted me more

Been shot at once. Guy shot at my car over follishness and then drove off with his coward ass. I say it hasn't affected me but I wonder sometimes.

When I was young living in MD at this apartment with my dad I was getting ready to go to bed and I heard this lady screaming outside. Looked through the blinds and seen her running towards the mailbox and she was screaming for somebody to help her. It was like 12 at night and I don’t think anybody was outside. She was running like somebody was after her. It was like some movie shyt. Before I could even go to my dad room to see if he heard it I heard some shots go off. My dad told me the next day she got shot and killed right at the mailbox.

Associate of mine when I was 16 i wouldn't necessarily call a friend but we played pop warner together. Saw him get hit with a choppa close range ewwww what an ugly scene & yea it traumatized da fuc outta me. But now I'm desensitized to it all I've seen too much out here. It'll really fuc with u if its someone close to u though. nikkas ran in da spot on my best friend back in 03 & I found my nikka dead bullet thru da back of his head thru his right MF eye slumped i will never forget fukked me up. His spot was set up all wrong when u walking up u can see thru the curtains a lil and tell if a MF on the game big screen in vision and all. He was on that madden as usual door kicked and all but they shot thru da window 1st I believe. It's so many theories but I know who got down on em main reason I'm on my dike shyt as far as not fukking with nikkas.​
