I remember one time me and my friends back in high school tried to make "p" catch on. Not the letter 'p' as in how you'd pronounce it (pee), but like how it would sound in a word (e.g. saying the word 'soup' except without the 'soo' sounding part)

We ripped off a bit we heard from one comedian from Comic View.....he had this joke about how nikkas over the years kept shortening their greeting to one another....how it went from "what's up?" to "whazzup?" to "'sup?", and how the next step would just be straight-up "p". Our dumb asses wanted to see if we could make it catch on in real life.....

Imagine a bunch of 15-year-old nikkas deliberately going around in front of everybody at school for like 3 weeks, and greeting each other with a head nod and saying "p." like shyt was cool, tryna make it catch on....only 2 other nikkas did it and it was clearly out of pity....

We didn't get ANY p*ssy back then......NONE :snoop:

have effectively used the term "Cooley High" for the last 2 and a half years. Got a it fro a Curren$y verse. He said he something like "it was all good like Cooley High before Cocheese die." Verse stuck with me. Kept shortening it up. Got it down to Cooley high, which is just a version of "cool" or "good" or "thats whats up" I forget that its even slang that nobody else uses its so ingrained. And the people Im around use it too since ive said it so much. Didn't really try to get it to catch on or nothin tho. Now I just usually say Cooley/coolie and it gets the same point across

Lol I remember this thread on sohh some cat wanted the word "candy slab" meaning money to take off ..

Anyway I remember back in 2000 I was on aol 2.0 chatting with this chick from Rhode Island and she broke out "chillax" blew my mind...I started using it people loved it and it took off ...100% of the people I used it on never heard it now that shyt is universally known and over killed...not sure if she invented it but the origins of that word are somewhere in New England I can assure u that much

When me and my homies were like 15, we used to call alcohol liquid boost ( L O L ) and cigs were called solid boost :pachaha: I don't what the fukk was up with it, but nikkas actually started biting the slang. Then again we were the originators of most slang people from our school and our parts of the city started using back then :smugdraper: So it is what it is.

Then a hit chocolate bar came out with the name BOOST in it, boy were we sure that some marketing folks heard our slang on the subway and stole it, LOL. This is not a English speaking country I live in, so obviously names such as this one were not too common.

Back in 7th grade we also used to call for example a six pack of beers ''assignment 6 b'', b obv standing for beer. So when we discussed what drinks we were getting for the night or whatever, all we had to say was the assignment number x and the letter would stand for whatever the drink was (cider, vodka etc.). Easy game my nikkas, EZ GAME.

We brought a lot of 90's hiphop slang back too like it ain't no thang, shyt was epic.

So basically, not too many of my attempts to coin shyt have really failed, but of course there are some. I just can't remember them at all, lol.

Can't even hate. shyt's kinda fresh...especially living in Detroit. I'm right up the block from Detroit Cooley High. Might have to toss that around if I can remember.

You know what burns me up? When I was a freshman in high school, I didn't exactly swear as much as I do now so I'd come up with alternative words. This was back in 2000 and I'd use "batches" and "bish" in the place of 'bytches" & "bytch". Had all of my friends using it...

...fast forward to this year and Kendrick Lamar drops "Money Trees".

Now everyone's going "_____, ya bish" and I'm over here like

Another one we've used recently is "Don't get Rihanna'd on." (pronounced as ignorantly as possible altogether: "Rihanna'd-own". I just said it one day and we thought it'd make a great southern club track like "Knuck If You Buck", but we never created it so now we just use it when a chick gets her ass beat unmercifully or if she's trying to.

Worldstar had us using it a lot this year. :youngsabo:

In middle school used to use the term Scoopgas as the equivalent of "fck outta here"

Tried to use coin the term "cahno" in replace of n2gga...Like "whats up cahno"

Use to refer to head as Jimmy Newt, or Neutron in refrence to jimmy neutron and his big as$ dome.

Never actually made up a word that caught on but I frequently use the word "myth" and that shyt has spread amongst my boys (and now girls) pretty quick.

"fukk me that goal was a myth"
"Fam, last night was a myth"
"fukk that, this weather is a myth"

*Ending of Inception* :ohhh: Myth.
