Laid off, yes, but flat out fired? Can't recall straight up witnessing it.
It's happened to a few coworkers but my bosses didn't usually fire them straight up in front of everybody. That would be brutal. I mean you could at least have the class to call the person into your office or do it when no one else is around. Not just "YOU'RE FIRED!" on some Spacely Sprocket shyt.

yes at jobs I've had when I was a kid. One dude lit a cigarette and walked out after he got fired (this is significant because it was inside of an airport terminal). Other time I saw this lady literally beg for her job...it was disgusting "please I need this job, I have to feed my kids"

Did suck that i had to feign ignorance to those that got cut, but it was not that bad because 2 were part-time and 1 should of been fired a long time ago.

Too many, all in private settings. I usually have been brought in as the witness and for damage control (since I have a good rapport with the person being let-go.)

I've seen several fired. Never seen a "you're fired! pack your stuff and leave" type of thing in the spur of the moment. Usually they get the "walk of shame" by security. You get a box to pack your things in and walked out by secruity. Can't count the amount of times I've seen that happen.
