This is my post from a different thread.

This is how my hair looks right now (It isn't fresh though, I've had it like this for a couple of days)

I tried wearing braid outs and other natural hair styles, but I guess I got lazy and didn't moisurize and detangle it enough because now it's "dry and damaged at the ends". I had to get my hair cut back to bra strap length. Before that I used to get my hair straightened (blow outs) every 3 weeks. I'm not going to go back to that though because I don't want heat damage and curly hair looks better on me.

I was thinking about starting to wear wigs. I was going to wash and deep condition my real hair. Goop it up with Carefreecurl moisturizer and other stuff that my mom used on my hair when I was a kid. Get it braided and wear a natural hair wig. I plan on washing a dc-ing hopefully (b/c I don't like doing my hair anymore) every 2 weeks.

I'm kind of scared to wear a wig/fake hair because I've never worn it before. What if blows off? What if it falls off? What if someone yanks it off? I don't want to wear the combs. What if I can't blend it right or if i order the wrong color & people can tell that it's a wig. :sadcam:

Here are some of the wigs I was thinking about getting.

Creta girl ($20, I'll probably have to cut it)

Finger comber ($88, expensive and takes a long time to ship)

Here's a straight half wig that looks realistic blown out natural hair

Have you ever worn a wig? If so, have you ever worn it with only bobby pins (no combs)? Has it ever fallen/blown off?

Which wig would you get if you had to choose one Creta girl, or the Fingercomber?

I've worn wigs before.
If I were to get one now I'd get either one, they both look nice.
When I wore wigs, I just used the clips in them. The wigs never came off (from wind or whatever). I hated using glue, they would either not work, or break my skin out.

Aren't those clips just like the combs? They didn't take any of your hair/edges out like combs do sometimes? Have you ever tried only using bobby pins?

I wore wigs before Tammy was NY favorite.

It was a learning experience, trying to find the right wig for me. I have 4b hair so no curly wig is gonna blend perfectly with it so I just got a wavy one. I really wanted to try creta girl with some flat twists in the front.

I've never tried bobby pins, I feel like it wouldn't really stay.
With the clips, I used wig caps, so it didn't directly touch my hair. I always wore wig caps, in an attempt to make it blend in more.
