No rivalries but we just had the same teams face off in the finals 3 years straight, looking at doing it again this year (and maybe next year, depending on what lebron does in free agency)

The young Lakers looking like they are gonna be a mini Showtime

Once we get rid of deng we will be fine. His professionalism in the locker room is what we are paying for tbh

Hopefully these young cats come through, Randle survived over DLo, and Clarkson got an extension..

They have to step up. That doesn't mean take every shot and be selfish. That means play with the team, as a team, have fun. The unit is more important than the individual.

Cant wait to watch em go :wow:

I can't imagine giving a shyt about the NBA for a full season. I watch some games as background noise but that's about it. We know who is going to win the chip, why would you watch 82 games or even half that amount.

I think the only regular season game I watched beginning to end last season was the Cavs/Warriors matchup on...I forgot what holiday it was lol.

I'll watch the playoffs. Or at least, some of the playoffs lol.

Nope. Not at all.

My team is trash (Knicks) but the league as a whole is very talented. So much so that I bought season tickets this season.

No rivalries

Long, Meaningless Season that players don't even care about

Lack of Post game

Every game is a 3 point shooting contest

Tanking

Superteams

Players allowed to travel which makes playing Defense damn near impossible

Flopping

Lack of Parity

82 game season only for more than half the league to make the playoffs only for the top 2 teams in the conference to make it to the conference chips damn near every year.( Talk about pointless)

The bolded is what bothers me the most. I hate how buddy buddy everybody is. It's cool to be cool with ppl but there should be a lot more bad blood in the NBA.

My interest has been at an all-time low since last year. It doesn't bother me THAT much that I know the Warriors are gonna win, it just bothers me a lot it's gonna be the same two teams for the 4th year row. I would at least like some variety like when LAL won 3 straight from 00-02, it was a different eastern opponent every time. Maybe my interest will regain once it stops being GS-CLE. I legit watched about 10-12 games from start to finish last season when it's usually 40-45.

Also, if you believe the offseason makes up for a poor regular/post season for any sport, then that tells me all I need to know about that sport.

On the plus side, I started watching a lot more MLB & Tennis & been enjoying a lot :ld:

Not it wasn't ..
People like to live in nostalgia..
Now I can admit that the regular season was more lit but only 9 different franchises won titles( I'm not counting the merger to which it came to be the NBA)..
If the CBA was different back then, a lot of nikkas would have joined up to take the Bulls/Lakers/Celtic teams down..
Plus the rules were different which allowed the fukkery to seamer and allowed more rivialeries..
Yeah I can see the point of the stars/superstars being more spread out but it was always going to be the same 2-5 teams actually going to the finals..
People didn't get tired of seeing the Celtic/Lakers rivalry..
People didn't get tired of seeing the greatness of MJ..
Now peoples attention spans are short and if their team isn't winning, now it's all of a sudden boring and predictable.
If MJs pop never got murked (rip)/if the Bulls didn't fukk him over after his last championship, the Bulls era would have been a lot longer...
Nobody would have complained..
The problem now is that sports is too accessible and we are being flooded with social media coverage, hype pieces and corny narrative stories that are salacious in nature but don't provide a real analysis of the game.
It's like that with all media. There is no build up to the season(except this offseason of fukkery:banderas:)
Everybody keeps saying it's a one team league but you don't know if the Warriors are going to win every year. If you can predict that, then you wasting your time posting on here and need to go play the lottery with that crystal ball logic:russ:
Look, I been watching basketball since the late 80's. Hardcore from the 90's on. shyt was way more competitive back then and its not debatable. You trying to rewrite history based on finals results? There was no cakewalks to the finals. Jordan made it look easy, but the teams he had to beat would easily dominate the teams of Today because of the style of play.

What I'm saying is under old skool reffing rules? Those teams would easily beat any team from today. People are not being groomed like they was back then. Today's players act like divas and are close to billionaires. They wasn't getting paid that much back in those days so players had more drive :francis:

I have actually come back to watching it after losing interest during the Lebron-Miami era.
