In theory, I don't disagree. All that about our generation is true. But the ratings were still climbing until the beginning of last year, and even then, they rebounded from a slow start. All these things were true about millennials in 2015 too. We were all busy people who wanna travel and be with our friends and families in 2015 too. The golden age of TV (which some think we are in now) and streaming services were definitely popping in 2015. And the NFL still had the 15 highest rated shows, or whatever the number is, like they do every year. If you say it's mostly older folks watching and the NFL has a long-term problem, then I don't disagree, they have long-term problems for many reasons. But if we're looking at what is different now compared to recent years when popularity was skyrocketing, I'd say boredom with the product on the field (which continues to get worse) and people being horrified with the effects of head trauma, which is a more recent development.
