shyt is disgusting!

I’m just wondering how much more ppl are gonna take :yeshrug:

people today are entirely too ignorant to get on code on a class level. I'd argue way more than the past even. too many distractions

the last time class consciousness was high was during the tax the 1% movement.

However something very peculiar happened. all that momentum got co-opted by other interests and there was a lot of agents in the mix

people went from tax the rich, occupy wallstreet to the tea party... :dwillhuh: that trajectory should make anyone dizzy.

i'd wager if we take a fine tooth comb to that chronology and timeline of events we will see the ruse. Somehow someway there was an infiltration and a redirection.

Occupy Wallstreet and taxing the rich movements were class entrenched and the redirection made this about the right and left. Things have been in a whirlwind since. Now tell me who stood to gain the most from having the populace divide if not the 1%. People like the Koch brothers and whoever else pouring money into tea party support. Even though the movement isn't relevant anymore it did something. It took all the energy away from Class revolution and turned it to nationalism and race. effectively kneecapping the glue of common interests in a class based movement. Furthermore in no short order you had people who had been talking about taxing the 1% on board with the 1% like Trump because maga and make murica great again.

shyt slogans and stupid people go hand in hand. they love charisma and familiarity. shyt that feels good and nostalgia...

i'm being very long winded but I just want to say that THE PEOPLE TODAY THE COMMON MAN IS TOO PRONE TO BEING SUBVERTED AND REDIRECTED FOR HIS OWN GOOD. I find it ironic how conspiracy hunting has become a popular pass time but the most obvious shyt be going over the tin foil hats because they busy digging for demonic activity at a pizza store. look how divided the right and left are? who did that? who was funding all the fringe movements it was the same 1% that we were supposed to be after. On the left and on the right the most divisive movements are funded by 1% ers be it birthers, tea party or lbgtqi media arms and these groups polarize the people who stay divided enough not to focus on common goals.

congratulations we played ourselves collectively.. class consciousness in modern times is atrocious. tell me how Amazon workers got less rights than union workers in factory jobs decades ago... that part.

how much will it take? much more... either people stand together or we get driven to the edge until we start to fall off. human greed does not pump brakes

2011 was when Occupy Wall Street happened

2012 Instagram launched and bombarded people with images of luxury lifestyles and superficial desires.

Not a coincidence. Social media nullified people to unite for a better cause than themselves.

Dap + rep.

Fantastic posting.

Coli needs more of this, and less of everything else we talk about.

It’s tough cause the purpose of owning rental property is to MAKE MONEY
If you have good tenants it often makes sense to ease up on them to keep them around for a long time
But when every landlord around you is raising prices it’s unrealistic to expect a landlord to essentially lose money on some charity shyt
Maybe a compromise is to make long term leases more common (like 5 yrs) but people probably won’t want that either. If a renter can go where they want after a lease expires then it’s reasonable that a landlord should be able to increase rent after a lease expires

And if causes mass homelessness, vacant apartments, a crippled economy, and spike of crime? What then?

The "make Money" nonsense has jumped the shark. This will backfire in so many ways, that it will end in civil unrest.

What is your plan in regards to rent set up? How low should rent be? And what about the property taxes and yearly maintenance?

“affordable housing” is not an individual landlords responsibility. No one is going homeless due to rent increases, you just have to live somewhere you didn’t live before. Both parties make a legal agreement to pay some price and lease some space, when it’s time to negotiate again, then that’s what it is …a negotiation. Either agree to the new terms or go find terms your agree with. This mentality that you entitled to MY property cause you once lived there is wild :dead:
If the government wants to pay market rate for land or complexes and provide affordable housing for people that’s an option….but we saw how that idea worked out in the past

Should be no more than 10% of a person's monthly income. Something like Germany's model. People were paying that low rent back in the early 00s.

Also, a lot of these landlords shouldn't be in the business of a landlord. They OVERextend themselves on buying properties they outright cannot afford. Then they have the audacity to take it out THEIR OWN MISHAPS on tenants.

Half these landlords charge extreme rents, and STILL dont do their jobs like fixingbbasic needs like plumbing, heat, or fixing broke rooftops. They are worthless pieces of shyt that make people who pay their rent on time, suffer.
