I was in Tanzania this summer( Dar and Zanzibar). Had a good time. Zanzibar has a nice combo of history and tourist type stuff to do. Dar is a fast developing city that I enjoyed but I think I had an advantage in knowing people who live there. Not sure if you'd be able to get to know the city well otherwise.

Regardless of where you decide on, don't limit yourself to one country. I was working in Zambia and took this train to Dar Es Salaam: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TAZARA_Railway

Pretty unique travelling experience, that allowed me to see the interiors of both countries. It wasn't easy but was a trip for the ages for sure.

Ghana is tight. Cape Coast Castle is crazy and very historic. Plenty of beaches like Axim, Labadi and Akwidaa.

If you do one, don't spend crazy amounts of money on the expensive ones....I find most Westerners just parachute in for safaris and completely miss out on the actual countries they're located in. I had a friend that told he did the balloon safaris and he loved seeing the landscapes but he missed out in seeing what he saw on the regular safari.

TZ women are definitely beautiful. In the coast there's a lot of mixed women( Arab and African) which is a pretty nice combo. Swahili is a must in TZ with regular women though, so it could be a big language barrier when trying to approach them.

LOL@sex tourist - when you travel internationally and are on vacation , you want to take in all the sights and dealing with different women culturally is what some people like to do. AIDS in africa is overrated. You think they gave out 34 million AIDS tests in africa, or, took some tests in one particular area and then used a Computer to make extrapolations that were meant to reflect stats across the continent. We goin to africa,
