Having "young players on the same timeline" is overrated. You need veterans on your team

THEY WERE LOTTERY BOUND
BEFORE FVV AND ADAMS GOT THERE.
:dahell:

You didn’t read the OP. They added FVV and were still in the lottery. Adams playing 14 minutes for 58 games didn’t make them a 55 win team this year as much as they got
older and got a competent coach.

None of what I said takes away from having competent veterans to round out a team, but OP’s point was off the mark.

:mjlol:YOU TRIED INCORRECTLY
TAKE A JAB
AND FAILED SO NOW
YOU HAVE TO PRETEND HE SAID
THEY MADE THE PLAYOFFS
IN THE FIRST SEASON

Yeah bro, this is you sticking to semantics instead of the point. But go you. You got it. Celebrate. pop champagne that you got a slight factual error that doesn’t change the point like you Joe Carter in ‘93.

Is that really a thing like that? When people talk about different timelines are they really talking about role players? Or is that about stars not being on the same timeline? Old stars wanna win now and dont have a lot of timr. Young stars are growing and figuring stuff out so there is an obvious clash there. You need just the right mix to win. Cant have all young bulls. Cant have all old heads.

Caruso is really OKC 2nd most important player. shyt crazy. Generational if not historic elite role player. Not most talented or most productive but 2nd most important. If they don't trade for him they would have went at least 6 wit Ja-less Memphis. They would have lost to Denver too. His overall impact is crazy. +40 this game, highest of any player, guarded Jokic who only hit like 1 shot on him, forced turnovers, clutch plays and shots in series. These young boys was gettin lemon booty, tight AF scared as shyt if they ain't have his presence they would have folded.

Caruso only remainin player that won a ring. I think him and Mikal the only ones who been to finals even. OG was injured for the Raptors for their run. "Championship experience" is so important. That why Boston brought Jrue too. Look at the clutch plays he made durin they title run to swing and end games.

These young OKC nikkas got lemon booty, was shakin and shyttin they pants many moments these playoffs. They would have gone at least 6 wit a Ja less Memphis without Caruso and would have lost to Denver for sure. He is their 2nd most important player and calms everyone down, gets them in line, ain't scared, makes winnin plays on both ends, starts runs, swings momentum.
