Someone explain to me how he is able to sample straight from Youtube...That technique is SUPER potent...

There's this joint on Mac called sound flower (think that's the name) where you can record sounds straight from the net..... Haven't tried yet myself but my dude does it all the time

Is he isolating drum sounds from that one sample?

Yup....good way to build up your drum library by chopping drums from other songs.....shyt I need to do that more and stop being lazy

Yeah it can work you are just importing the waves, the one in link is a Maschine exclusive one. They include presets for massive and stuff like that.

yeah he has is audio routed right into whatever he's using on the computer so when he plays a sound he can just record it live instead of downloading a youtube link off some random site...then he is snatching whatever he wants from the joints. producing is really a mind blowing process....the little ive learned in the last month or so has really changed the way i look at music.

How the hell did he do that?..i've been trying to figure this out for myself for awhile now

i cant explain the other part but the reason for no ads is he most likely has AdBlock installed into his browser. i dont get ads on YT either when im on my computer.

Thats the sound I prefer too. That low quality sample in Hip Hop to me is comparable to the rich sound provided by vinyl that digital cant duplicate. Not even FLAC files. There's something rich and untainted by that little bit of static in the background in an East Coast beat.

i see what you mean but you can add some static with effects.

It seems like he's controlling what he's sampling with a keyboard?
