That beat that was playing at the start of the clip was nice. I didn't watch the whole thing yet.

based on what it looked like, he was playing songs on youtube and recording the audio into whatever he was using based on if he liked it or not. he has a grimey production style so i dont know if quality matters for everything he does. sometimes the dip in quality can work out to his advantage.

I believe if a video was uploaded at 720p or higher it'll will have a 192kbps bit rate. Which actually isn't that bad and doable for samples. (not the best quality but doable)

Also dependent on the source quality too. Personally I prefer from vinyl but you'd be surprised how many top producers dig on youtube.

Yeah i bet. For me i'd just find it on youtube and search elsewhere for it and if i cant find it then it doesnt get made or i settle for youtube

Other than just knowing obvious people/albums to sample how do you find random old shyt to sample these days? whosampled to find the sample of some old dope shyt then listen to that whole album? I know your one of coli's known producers so I was curious on your take on that....

Great point about his grimey production style. I wouldn't expect Dre to do this given he's had that clean pristine sound.

Search 60/70's turkey/Brazilian/AfricAn/Russian music and you will find gems... shyt i even sample new jazz and light rock music. Tbh i can sample anything. Check this out
