I didn't say they're as good. I'm saying they're style of play and rosters are similar

Neither didn't the Kings

Kings were the real champions the year they got robbed.

Only huge difference is Kings had better passing big men :yeshrug:

Kings had a much better roster.

-a legitimate Superstar and Chris Webber. The Hawks didnt have that
-an all star 20ppg sidekick in Peja. Nobody on the hawks can give u 20ppg
-kings had a better bench. Hedo Turkoglu and Bobby Jackson would star for a lot of other other teams

This team will be viewed unfavorably by history but we should be seen in a much higher light for 14-15.

We created what all teams are doing now where everyone 1-5 can dribble, pass, and shoot.
We modernized the way teams use centers.
We proved you can be at the bottom 10 of talent and still be a great team if you dribble, pass, shoot, and move off the ball exceptionally well.
We proved that there is more to Basketball than isolation scoring.

Sadly, LeBron's single-handed beat-down in the ECF will forever place us in a class of pretenders and not the contenders' list with a team like Sacramento is on.

I didn't even like this comparison at first due to clear differences that SAC was just a better overall team but Al Horford should not be underrated. He was a monster. A beast and the biggest reason for our success and Boston's success. He went to how many ECF's with us and Boston? A lot. The greatest winner in (Atlanta) Hawks history. Both by win percentages and success. Put some respect on Al Horford's name.

I enjoyed that season. I was a season ticket holder that year for the Wizards since I lived in DC but I watched every Hawks game that year. Playback or live on TV. The games in DC, in person. It was the best season I've witnessed in Hawks' history. The only season I enjoyed as close as last year's rookie Hawks with Trae Young. Trae was so fun to watch and we never had a player with that level of talent.

Hawks had Horford. A legit two-way monster who was extremely versatile. He was worth the price of admission to any team that wants to win a lot of games.
I'll take my chances with Horford over Webber.
After that, the Hawks team just didn't have it.
Millsap was a borderline all-star but he wasn't a star or superstar.
Korver had two great seasons, 14 and 15 and got old quick and lost his impact in 16.
Bibby was much better than Teague. Teague had a miracle season.
Bobby Jackson was a legit 6th man, Thabo was great in his role till the NYPD beat his ass. That really fukked shyt up as Atlanta was more like a 7 man unit and without Thabo, it killed our defensive impact.
Peja was a legit good player, he wasn't that great though. He did his role but revisionism should not overrate him unless you want to give the same respect to the Hawks.
Hedo wasn't Hedo yet in SAC. You could make a case on Hedo and Dennis being as important to their teams.
After that, both teams didn't exactly have good players aside from the top 2.
Funderburke? Pollard? Bazemore at that stage? Brand at that stage?
Carroll was extremely valuable. Atlanta really missed him in 16. One of the best movement players I've seen in NBA history. The only player I've seen master big man and perimeter movement. That made him so tough even if he wasn't talented at all. He also set great screens for a wing. I think Brandon Clarke is going to be the rich man's DMC.

That Atlanta team was impactful for the game but they just didn't have enough. When you play LeBron. You gotta deal with him in the playoffs for 46-48 MPG. That's extremely hard to do for most NBA teams if not all.
