HBCU’s are getting battered by Trump research cuts. Howard lost 11 million, NC A&T has lost 24 million and HBCU’s have lost 300 million since March.

All I see on Twitter is "tether this" and "tether that" across my timeline, yet there are things that come out from the Trump government weekly that impact the black community the most.
No bullshyt, I was listening to the Thom Hartmann program in Chicago(he broacasts from Oregon) and a brotha called in talking about Foundational Americans buying into Trump's rhetoric. I was amused that this dumb ass POV has actually made its way to wider circles. Black folks who don't care that Black folks are being tossed into the meat grinder.

As long as "others" are impacted, then they care very little. It's a microcosm of how white people vote against their own interests as long as minorities are also impacted. I think it has something to do with the psychology of living in an environment that is actively trying to marginalize you and relegate you to third class citizenship. Same with what apartheid has done to black South Africans. Mind you other African nations played a key role in helping get them liberated from apartheid including providing asylum to their activists as well as providing logistical and military support.
Today these people hate other Africans and blame them for their economic situation and not the ANC government that loots billions from the economy annually. They don't even say a word about majority of their economy being controlled by white either. Believe it or not I have seen some black South Africans clamoring for apartheid to return. They are referring to the era as being the 'good days'.
Those are just koons..
But we have those problems, and we have them wholesale..
In a final showdown Black people will need to cut loose these koons because we can't win a war with Black people fighting for the enemy.
Same as Black people from Black Muslim countries..they will rather fight on the side of Islam and their Arab brothers than the next Black man, so they cannot be relied upon in a world war.

HBCUS can't afford cuts like this, it's shredding them. Guys like Tariq don't understand Academia. He didn't graduate high school so he doesn't value it.
HBCUS gave the black community some of our most brilliant freedom fighters and created upward mobility for black Americans. Cutting research keeps us locked out of the game
