At this point....it's still a fantasy. I love HBCUs. But if I was a five star recruit athlete, I'd be going to USC, Texas or Florida....not FAMU

There are multiple high school teams, that will run up the score on some of these HBCU's.

They already got enough issues sending out refund checks at the beginning of the semester, the fukkery that would commence trying to pay players would be legendary....and somehow Birdman would be involved in it.

Yeah, but problem is, the HBCUs can't even afford to take they band on the road, let alone talking about paying players. Plus, only a handful are good, Savannah State losing 84-0 to OK State

Take out the paying players part and lets start with something a little less impossible like merely having blue chip athletes and top coaches choose HBCUs. There are so many economic layers that would have to be peeled back not to mention the enormous sacrifice of those currently in power, which someone already alluded to earlier in this thread.

fukk the money that it would cost to fund top rate programs with top tier athletes, lets talk about the access to resources that would need to be purchased with said money and the crumbling of the current supply chain that would need to take place and everything that comes with it from shoulder pads to endorsement deals. Hell I think Jordan Brand only outfits 1 or 2 HBCUs.
