Are they from black applicants?
Just making sure...![]()
When i was in VSU there is a military base near and there was many white folks on campus with us. When I took my niece to clark atlanta, there was 1 white girl in the whole entering class and she was a valedictorian in her school and got a whole free ride due to various Georgia grants/ scholarships. I wonder if she stayed for the whole 4 years, I doubt it though.I remember a thread sighting a HUGE increase of white applicants into HBCU's a few years ago
That will never happen unless enrollments at individual HBCUs decline to critical levels ...Tuition will always be highThis is good as VSU personally gave me an shot with low sat scores but my only issue with HBCUs is the amount of debt they put on the students. Maybe I should of tried for scholarships( had a GED and poor SAT scores) but i never finished high school and was just happy to get into a college.
Anyone more knowledgeable please enlighten me but is there any plan or action that HBCUs have to try to lower tuition cost? Most people I know that went to HBCUs usually transfer out when they realize 4+ years is going to put them in debt 40k+. Then many of these majors folks are majoring in do not provide no substantial income to offset their loans.
