I'd honestly pay a fee for a streaming only option. I even told my homie of he'd give me his login info I'd pay half his hbo bill every month. nikka is slacking so I'm gonna have to ask this chick I talk to. But it could get messy if it don't work out.

Sharing is cool but i think you can only have one stream going at a time. where Netlfix I think you can have 3 going at once.

My kind of CEO too.

People sharing with their friends really isn't hurting them like it may seem at first. The vast majority of these people aren't going to buy HBO anyway, they're just helping the overall popularity of their content.

Movie and Music execs need to realize this too.

These old execs think that a download = a lost sale.

No. HBO doesnt limit the streams or the simulcasts (watching same program at same time). Neither does ShowtimeAnytime. Thats what makes it easy to share. Netflix does 2 simultaneous streams and can simulcast. There is an option to upgrade to 4, for $11.99. You can also share Amazon Prime by managing your membership. You cannot however watch simulcasts with Amazon. Hulu iirc does not limit the streams but you cannot simulcast with it.

If Hbo were to do this it would be a death blow to cable fiber and sattelite companies...because honestly I wouldn't need to tack on the fios hbo tier package

streaming isn't perfect though i have like a 75mpbs connection directly connected to my pc and there is still lag or pauses every now and then so i'm not quite ready to give up the quality of a direct fios feed and blu ray discs

I already got a 2 Blu-Ray disc + streaming netflix account :youngsabo:

I just cancelled my 2 Blu-ray option and upped my number of simultaneus devices from 2 to 4... Hell i didnt even know they had a simmultaneous device cap until Friday when I was lurking my account info..

HBOgo can basically do the same thing and limit the simmultaneous number.

You must be sharing your account w heavy Netflix viewers to need all those simultaneous streams. I share my password w my in-laws, but they dont watch it much and they're not computer savvy so signing up on their own and managing an account would be an issue for them.

I need my blu-rays tho. :takedat:
