Long story short, Comcast and Amazon are probably trying to play hardball but they will cave. Roku deal is likely imminent.

If you have HBO NOW you'll get MAX for free, the NOW app is changing to MAX soon anyway..

If you have AT&T Unlimited wireless you will also get MAX for free.

This literally covers hundreds of millions of people I would think..

They're probably pulling what they did with Disney+ and will wait until the very last min before they agree. All 3 should be a done deal by Tuesday but idk what's up with Comcast, they literally did this with WB recently

For confused brehs, here's the rundown on the different ways you can get it as of today

I was saying before that NOW becomes obsolete and GO would still be necessary for cable/sat subscribers. however, if the following is true about those subscribers getting MAX for free then both GO and NOW become obsolete. there would be no need to change anything for current cable/sat subs or standalone.

I let my HBO Now lapse 1-2 weeks ago and I'm going to re-up shortly. I wonder if they have a free trial period since it's technically a brand new service :jbhmm:

Either way, I'll give it a month to determine what that catalog is looking like. At the least, I've timed it so that I can watch the rest of Insecure in real-time.

GO will exist as long as Warner plays hardball with Comcast. It's three days to launch and they still don't have a deal for MAX.

Not having it on Roku at launch is an all out failure. a disaster. I'll have to chromecast this shyt :francis:

it's also hilarious they have to have videos and FAQs and charts and shyt to explain their different offerings. Imagine how confused the casual average consumer is going to be.

Good looking out even though that looked like a list on how to do your taxes as opposed to looking up a new streaming service. That said I'm certain I'm getting Max but at the same time what are these guys thinking with all these different variations out at the same time :mindblown:HBO has pretty much always been a network that has its shyt together no matter what.. even if they didn't have any hits out at the time.

Other way around, Disney+ and Hulu are still not on Comcast despite them trying. Same might happen to AT&T

i just paid for MAX, they will let me use Now until MAX drops, at least I don't have to deal with a Disney + server crashing situation

What makes u say that?

All of the executive talk has them saying they want a curated service and don't want to have everything lumped together like Netflix.

Doom Patrol is still the only confirmed DCU Universe show coming to HBO Max. Who knows if/when other things might migrate over.

I'm still surprised they haven't said anything about Cinemax programming like Strike Back, Banshee, The Knick, etc being a part of the library. Would give exposure to really quality shows most people might not have seen and diversify their lineup, although Cinemax is basically a dead network walking after this year.
