Maybe true but what's your friend's opinion on MJ himself?

I mean someone who is biased will discredit whoever tries to muddy up their hero. Same way there are people out there getting into physical fights defending RKelly after the documentary saying the documentary is a joke. Yeah it lacked balance. But im sure RKelly and his camp declined to comment so what balance can you have, really?
:beli: so defending him makes you biased but attacking him means you're fair and objective.

Rkelly is on video doing inappropriate things with minors. MJ has a bunch of discredited accusations. Two completely different realms of speculation.

Sad thing is I think that ‘documentary’ set a terrible precedent. It sparked the uprising in speculative opinions being passed off as fact and gave future docs liberties with truth that they shouldn’t have. I think the OJ miniseries may have been more accurate tbh. At this point I feel like most docs’s should be treated on a ‘based on a true story’ type basis, unfortunately.

Mainstream media would never broadcast anything about OJ Simpson that wasn't designed to malign him and treat the wound America suffered when he walked free from the charge of murdering a white woman. There isn't a single documentary about a black man or woman that I would trust in the hands of a white person. It's why Spike Lee strongly objected to Norman Jewison helming a biopic of Malcolm X. He knew what the game plan was. :francis:

Not saying that.

Im just asking if the person who said this would have any bias. I love MJ like the next man but at the same time i have to admit to myself that I dont know the man beyond a TV screen. Let me see the documentary for myself and make my own conclusions.

I look at it this way: If the documentary was about (say) Bill O'Reilly (just using a person i hate with a passion) would I be as quick to doubt it as i do someone i love like Michael Jackson. Like i told many mofos on facebook about Bill Cosby. I love Bill Cosby too and it pains me to see him rotting in jail. But i'm not gonna put my name out there defending a man i only know from watching TV playing a role. I'm not saying he did it. But i aint vouching for him either.

But the basis of the doc is off of allegations that were proven false. It’s biased just off the strength of existing and being passed off as a documentary. :dahell:

This makes perfect sense if he was still alive. But what actual justice are they trying to achieve right now? Dude is dead, he can't prosecuted. The only people they can punish right now is his family. This is literally being done just for money like always. Yet another cash grab.

Y'all think MJ did it?

This shyt got me thinking though tbh I still feel mostly that he didn't do it. Even some of them came out and said their family put them up to it for money.

Wait: So Michael Jackson aside, anyone who's dead should pretty much be off limits?
Careful how you answer that question :usure:

Yes, i think making allegations without proof against a person who is unable to defend themselves is wrong. Why wouldn't i? The only reason someone would make unsubstantiated claims about a dead person is for attention or for profit.

If they know better, they won't air that documentary.

The minute it comes out, idiots everywhere will magically become convinced he did it, even people who initially supported him and have knowledge of the original cases. Celebrities will get paid off to rally against MJ and disown him, and campaigns everywhere will begin to get his music taken off the radio and streaming services. You won't be able to silence the massive fanbase at all, but all you need is to perform some parlor tricks to get the right people to believe. Once that happens, they'll make an example out of MJ for the third time, ten years after his death. :snoop:

This is some manipulative, calculated shyt. Leave it alone and get the real pedophiles out of here. You have Corey Feldman's number, call him and I'm sure he'll give these people what they're looking for, especially for a fee. :sas2:

She said her opinion on him is :yeshrug: she was there because it was a hot ticket showing, but said the way the way the docu was presented from the opening onwards was exploitative and strange.

She talked a a few people over the few days she was there and said once most stepped back and had a clearer head from the initial shock value of it. It doesn't stand up as a very good documentary.

Kudos to the makers though they got hella publicity for it.
