HBO Reportedly Makes 'A Big Play' For Bill Simmons

Simmons is a Nice fit for HBO. Interesting to see what HBO(Time Warner) Does for a online site. But this is very interesting..



Started 30 for 30 with bill Apparently(not sure on this).

Also will likely get Bill on TNT in some shape or form.

This should be fun come September tho..

HBO airs Hard Knocks, so he probably wouldn't get to call Goodell a liar and a coward on their media platform, either

Hard Knocks is a NFL Films production that airs on HBO. It is not making HBO money(adding subscriptions). And HBO's parent company(Time Warner) does not have any real ties to the NFL besides hard Knocks. I doubt Lombardo gives a fukk.

Not saying Bill ends up on TNT. Just that TNT and HBO are subsidiaries of Time Warner. So in the words of CEO's, synergy might be at play.

As much as Simmons annoys me sometimes I've realized I miss his insight on hoops. I didn't care for the movies, TV and other topics but when it comes to the NBA he has a unique perspective to offer.

I want him on a platform where he could continue writing mailbags and multiple podcasts throughout the week. I would be disappointed if he had a Bill Maher style TV show which is what I'm assuming he would get at HBO.
