HBOGo Coming to PS3 & PS4 Confirmed

Sony went about it the right way. The PS4 is a gaming console first and foremost. Don't get a it twisted. Plenty of people have said this after getting their hands on both consoles and in console reviews. The common theme is, "if you're only picking 1 and you want it to be for gaming get a PS4" that's the line I've heard time and time again regarding these consoles.

I made a thread about it to let thecoli know. I have HBOGo but my ISP (Comcast) doesn't let me use it on Roku anyway, I'm hoping I'll be able to use it on my PS3/PS4 just because of that. I honestly just been downloading HBO shows and streaming with Plex/Roku anyway, since I couldn't use the app on my Roku.

You know what, I feel you and actually respect this opinion and won't come at you with any fanboyism. But I disagree with this whole "went about something the right or wrong way" when there was never a template or standard to base anything off.

At the same time I hear you and feel you regarding the gaming but don't you have to like them games??

Me personally, them Japanese style games or shyt like Resegen or Flower or Knack. That isn't my cup of tea. And yes maybe some of the games out now that I like, yes they are on both systems and I could've easily got the 4 and played them there...... But after that for me, what am I really waiting for on Sony that I wanna play so badly? Unfortunately nothing.

The next thing I normally take in consideration is what are my closest friends copping so we can game together. I honestly don't really know anyone that wants/has a 4. So my rational is why would I waste money in something no one else has or wants for right now.


Yes I hear and read the reviews... And they're respectable but I don't know them people, I just know my immediate peers and community.

It's all about perception.

Honestly though, the PS4 puts gaming at the forefront of the console. It's just the little things that count. The ability to just plug in some headphones into the controller, the live game streaming (Live on Playstation), the share feature which is dope, the speed of how you can download/install a game, or you can download something off of the PS Store and still play another game online. Everybody knew that these consoles would do more than just play games. Microsoft however, put an equal amount of emphasis on the "other" stuff and is looked at as the console that is good for TV content and can play games.

I'm not tripping over the PS+ games right now, because the console is still fresh, but if the PS3 is any indication on how well they'll support the platform through PS+ we'll be feasting again. And even now, Resogun, Don't Starve, Contrast etc are all pretty dope games to have for free or just try. And Outlast is coming as well. These games are unique and I think it's cool that Sony recognizes them and makes it a point to their user base play them for free.

And I don't know anyone who has an Xbox One or who's even talking about it. I know 3 people (my brother and 2 good friends) who all copped that PS4 and we've been on BF4 or 2K. My other brother is going to cop one as well.

All that shyt's on AppleTV too. There's basically no reason (for me) to have Xbox Live anymore. The App that gets the most time on my 360 is Twitch late at night, and if I have to, I can just airplay it from my iPad to my AppleTV.

My Live is about to lapse in February, and I'm 98% sure I'm not gonna re-up. And I've been a member since Day 1.
