I think you're mixing up arguments or something, as I don't recall anyone saying something like this wouldn't happen. But otherwise, this is great news.
This only means cable companies will increase their broadband prices.
Now we just need google fiber infrastructure everywhere, then cable companies wouldn't be able to hike up the prices of internet

Right, I'm just saying why would they make the subscription service that much more expensive than Netflix, Hulu, Prime when it presumably won't have as much content?
Cause none of those have the same amount of ORIGINAL exclusive content that HBO has. And people will pay 15. Is an extra 5-10 a month a big deal?
