You can't really teach that to our sons,teaching them doesn't mean they have the ability to control themselves. My mama always told me to keep my hands to myself and turn the other cheek. But I still remember blacking out on a nikka who tried to clown me by stealing my french toast sticks at school breakfast,I was no longer in control of my body. Best thing to teach our sons is that as a man you do have the ability to get emotional,but that is feminine to do so. Then teach them they also have it in them to beat the hell out of a woman,which is why you shouldn't even entertain a woman who is attacking you verbally.
