the other breh posted a really extreme example but women's rolexes depreciate pretty bad. it's not uncommon to find stuff like late 2000s full platinum lady presidents around $15k (current men's models start at like $55k iirc and hold their resale value quite well, i'm too lazy to look up the myrolexworld catalog for the actual price). your instinct was right though, new women's models are right around that $8k range for a more modest one.

the woman in the op mentioned that hers was a bust down, ones in women's sizes would be inexpensive to begin with, a frankensteined watch, and/or also stolen

the bust down aspect also fukks her over as a crime victim, if she had a factory watch rolex would've returned it to her when it came in for service. they refuse to work on bust downs so it's likely to end up at some shady jeweler who won't care it's stolen and use the parts to make some other frankenwatch.
