IIRC in some of those Asian countries, you have to pay someone's medical bills for the rest of their life if you injure them while if you kill them in an "accident" you only have to pay a lump sum.
For rest of their lives? What if they are healed from injuries sustained, do they still have to pay?
Not sure if this is was initially an accident, but i recall it being said in China it is better to kill someone then injure because of the hospital bills and more. Saw a few videos of people hitting someone, then backing up over them and speeding off.
