I travel a lot for pleasure and its always funny to me people who barely travel and got no stamps in their passport talking about they wont fly spirit. Folks stayin 10 deep at a holiday inn but worried about the airline they flying on. Unless you are normally flying first class or private it makes little difference on a short flight of 2 to 3 hours. Spirit is fine even up to 4 hours or so.. just upgrade to the bigger front seats for a few bucks more and its cool.

Spirit has never had a recorded plane crash, and all their planes are relatively new/modern. From a safety standpoint, Spirit is better than many of the more expensive airlines. Their planes are just smaller and space is a premium, hence the lower costs and amenities
