Other than the record, the biggest issue is when you have a coach fighting for their job, they will do everything it takes to get wins. And, that appeared to come at the cost of running Dart a lot.

How does the GM survive? I get he had a good draft this year but he's mismanaged that team for years, culminating with the Saquon shyt.
There is the GM'ing ad coaching aspect of it, but the QB also has to know when to go down or out of bounds. Maye has taken a lot of sacks this year, but that's because he's trying to extend plays in the pocket. When he gets out of the pocket and actually runs, he's been much better going down. You can't put your QB at risk like that, period.
Them people at the top were like 'nah....you not finna run our next franchise QB into the ground to save your job'

You can't play QB like a battering ram. There are times to run and make the big play, but you have to know when to go down or out of bounds. The risk/reward is not always worth it. It can be fun to watch and I'm sure Giants fans get hyped up when Dart/Skat make a big run/truck someone, but that is not sustainable.....at all.
I know people like to say the NFL is "soft" nowadays and protects QB's too much, but I have ZERO issue with protecting QB's as no one wants to see 10+ backups playing QB each week. We all love to see the big hits, but you don't want to see the big injuries.
