There are a few hospitals here that have advertised examinations and blood work for like $50 or something. No insurance required or anything like that. I like that idea better than forcing people to get coverage.

:blessed:

I pay 75 though :to:

The doctor will look at your condition and type in the condition/illness into a electronic device, and a bureaucrat somewhere or either default computer program will send back to the doctor how to treat/care for the patient. If the doctor does not do what the electronic device says, and goes on his own, he will be fined I think $50K or either $100K or something like that the first time. The 2nd time he doesn't comply with the electronic device's order on how to treat a patient, he/she will be arrested.

breh. come on. you're better than this. do you really think the Obama admin sat down and drafted a law like this, that congress passed, and that the supreme court upheld?

The stupidity in this thread is blowing this way out of monumental proportions.

Because a certain provision as delayed it means it will be a failure???

:what:

@BarNone you sure this @Chris.B kid ain't a troll???

It will be a failure

People will take the fine than buy insurance, unless you make the fine the same amount as the insurance:obama3:

That's to be expected and the number of young people who will take the penalty is a give or take.

But a flaw is not a failure, nobody said it was suppose to be perfect just better than what was established before.

:pachaha:

I'm not even surprised though. It's too big, too expensive, too complicated. . . And just all around hated by most intelligent people.

I think it's going to just be ignored even after it's "implemented". Atleast until it's turned into a direct tax that comes out of people's check after they choose which insurance corporation they want to use.

hey, i'm all for universal myself. and yes i'm willing to pay the insane tax for it. thats just me. thats the problem though. people want their cake and ice cream. you cant have it both ways. its either we all pay into it via tax and we all have it. OR we go this route which is only slightly better then what we currently have. and better for those that didnt have any care at least now they can get it. young adults that use to be beyond the college age, people with pre-existing conditions that were being denied coverage.

people dont like it, but they also dont want to pay that insane tax for universal. but we all know or should know by now what we currently have is terrible as well. and at the end of the day we will be taxed to cover un covered people anyway. unless emergency rooms starts denying people. they wont. so we as tax payers will pay one way or another. and once you wait to it gets to the emergency room. the person has waited to long and now has serious problems with serious complications that will need serious drugs and serious surgeries and very expensive care in general. all on our dime. they raise other taxes little by little. so we're paying anyway. thats why i say, we might as well pay up front and get it over with. i'm all for universal. those who say but but their will be lines. So what. they're lines right now. i've spent hours in the urgent care/emergency with a family member multiple times. and this is in a very good neighbordhood. and said family member had very good coverage. still had lines galore and took hours to be seen.

thats not what she meant. she meant we will not know HOW it works in REAL LIFE until we pass it and people use it. it will take time before it works smoothly. but since people in general are afraid of change. they want it like it already was. even though that means a lot of people will be without healthcare. a lot more then with the bill. i mean you had idiots talking about hands off my healthcare. uhh your healthcare sucks right now. your employer is steadily raising the prices you pay out of your check to the point you cant afford it. its getting to expensive for some working class folks. so sorry my current healthcare is not hot.

The difference is if you choose not to take your employers insurance you are not penalized.....

There is no way you can force a healthy person to buy insurance if they don't want to till you equate the penalty to be more or the same as the insurance payments.

If the fine is less guess what? They take the fine. :heh:

Democrats are scared that's why this sh!t is being pushed back. Once the fines start hitting people this law will be thrown in the bushes

Nope...try again fuck-for-brains

The enforcement of the mandate currently affects only those who do not provide insurance. There was not a promise from the administration to not enforce the mandate against those who currently insure and have more than 50 employees.

again, pay attention.

if you're healthy but you refuse to get insurance. then if you get unhealthy, and end up in the emergency room. if you dont have cold hard cash to pay for your own EVERYTHING. they should kick you out and off the bed. dont touch you, no help at all for you. if you dont want to be apart of the system. FINE. stay out, but remember you cant come in when you need it. it doesnt work like that.

^^thats how they should start treating people.

cause the moment a non payer thats healthy today becomes sick tomorrow and they hit the docs without money in hand. guess who pays for it? WE DO in taxes. and in a situation like obama care. we would pay for it in premiums.

sorry in a society that refuses to let you die. you cant sit around and not have health insurane. everyone has to kick in. whether its obeezy care or universal canada care.

Obamacare Strikes: Part-Time Jobs Surge To All Time High - :

Obamacare Strikes: Part-Time Jobs Surge To All Time High

As a reminder jobs have quantity and quality components.

The quantity component was good enough to convince the 10 Year the taper is imminent (if not stocks, which continue to trade dislocated from any and all fundamentals).

But how about the quality? In a word: not good. In June, the household survey reported that part-time jobs soared by 360,000 to 28,059,000 - an all time record high. Full time jobs? Down 240,000. And looking back at the entire year, so far in 2013, just 130K Full-Time Jobs have been added, offset by a whopping 557K Part-Time jobs. And there is your jobs “quality” leading to today’s market euphoria (if only for now).

June full-time vs part-time:

And the divergence historically:
