Hearing parents say they make "sacrifices" for their kids is like hearing them call watching their kids baby sitting!

If you cant afford to take care of children then dont get pregnant and have kids simple.
To add, there are circumstances where you could afford them, shyt happened, and now you cant. But if we talking folks trying to make oodles of noodles stretch just for themselves having kids? Nah, they need to knock that shyt off. Its a moral question for me that outweighs the idea that everyone is free to have kids.

I say this fully understanding that most people would simply not have kids if I applied this logic broadly which would be functional eugenics which isnt something I back.

When you have multiple kids, in multiple sports/activities and you’re volunteering a lot then you’ll understand that statment. It’s also not intended to be negative or said to a child (at least I never have). But, sacrifices are made to ensure your child has a great up bringing. There’s no way around it.

My biological mother had me and my brother back to back as a teen and said fukk them kids. Left us. My Pops remarried and we got lucky to be loved and raised by our (step)mother. I appreciate and identify with parents who put themselves last to raise their children. Women typically are more vocal about hardships. I’ll take complaining over absence any day.

Sacrifices are made. It is dismissive to think otherwise.

You can argue about how much praise it deserves, but it is a sacrifice when someone puts up with getting chewed out a work because they have mouths to feed. They are sacrificing their pride.

That's not a fukking sacrifice! :dead:

You are the parent! Your kids don't have to play multiple sports! You actually letting your kids sacrifice their education and rest, etc. To play multiple damm sports!
shyt hilarious how parents rationalize nonsense!

That's the stupidest shyt logic!

You decided to have kids! You made your kids sacrifice by not being financially ready for kids so u dont have to complain about your fukking job.

You misunderstand sacrificing. You remove things from you lr schedule, that you enjoy, replace them for the child. Any parent that states they never sacrificed anything for their children, are not doing enough. I guarantee you not doing a percentage of the work I put in for my child. I guarantee that on everything.

Check my post history- I have them in best brains, foreign language immersion camp, a math camp, robotics class and library programs

daughter- travel soccer and art classes

daughter - dance gymnastics and basketball

son - jui jitsu, soccer and flag football

Im on the pto board and heavily volunteering for school admins

you out your mind to say we don’t sacrifice

most parents don’t do that shot. I know that for a fact
