temperatures drop about a degree in the year following massive eruptions but they dont permanently impact climate change like man made carbon emissions have risen temperatures .17F per decade since 1900.

not to mention that cooling isn't the only side-effect. some of the biggest famines in human history were caused by crops not being able to grow in periods after super volcano eruptions.
