I think with Hev tho is that he he wasnt any kind of a great rapper, and he almost completely focused on making lighthearted pop rap that centered on girls and enjoying the good life, so in a sense he made forgettable music. That said, he was influential in helping launch the careers of cats like Pete Rock and Diddy, and if you want to extend his influence further, Heavy D molded the modern rap of today far greater than more celebrated artists and groups like Rakim, Public enemy, and NWA's of his day. Political, smart, and violent rap is a thing of the past --- meaningless rap has been in for well over a decade.

Name themHe was a very good rapper though. He wasn't Nas but he had rhymes. Hell, he's much more of technically proficient MC than a lot of rappers nowadays that people credit.
