Random story, but I was listening to Michael Jackson's Dangerous album and was on "Jam" when I went into a restaurant to eat. Found out on my phone that Heavy D had passed while I was eating.

Came back out to the car and his part started on "Jam."

I don't care if it been ppsted already.

One of the best early rap videos ever.

Still feels like a real hiphop party.

If the original Heavy Dee ("the prince of rap, the king of hip-hop") didn't have a fukked up contract and needed to make bread on the low without being publicly seen things would have been very different...Found a brother with the almost exact same voice and gave him a style that he could run with....He was the creative force behind Uptown/Early Bad Boy lyrically and production wise.

RIP to both "Heavy" D's
