"We are the Fury"
I'll use available data and statistics to compare Anthony Joshua to NFL players like Cam Newton's athleticism. Thankfully there is a calculation converting 40 yard dash times to 100 meter times. With this chart we can extrapolate Cam Newton's, and other football players' 100 meter time from their 40 yard dash times:
To begin, we establish that Anthony Joshua ran the 100m in 11.6 seconds. Then we compare his 100 meter time to NFL tight ends 40 yard time-100 meter conversions. For control for variancy and reliability, let's further establish 2015/2016 6-6 tight ends/QBs weight and 40 yard dash times (including Cam Newton)
Blake Bell 6-6, 252: 4.80 (40 yard dash)
Cameron Clear 6-6, 277: 4.98 secs
Jesse James 6-7, 261: 4.83 secs
Cam Newton 6'6, 254: 4.59 secs
I couldn't find QBs who are 6'6 that ran the 40 in the 2016 or 2015 drafts, so I went back to the 2014 draft and found 1. I'm also including Cam Newton since that
Logan Thomas 6-6, 248: 4.61
OK, now let's do the 40 yard to 100 meter conversions for Anthony Joshua against tight ends and QBs at his size in recent drafts (I am rounding down since Joshua's down is rounded)
Anthony Johnson 6-6, 249: 11.6 secs - 100 meter dash
Black Bell: 11.7 secs - 100 meter dash
Cameron Clear: N/A (did not qualify)
Jesse James: N/A (did not qualify)
Logan Thomas 6-6, 248: 11.2 secs - 100 meter dash
Cam Newton 6-6, 245: 11.2 secs - 100 meter
So, everything considered, Cam Newton at the same size and about the same weight as Anthony Johnson is calculated to be considerably faster than Joshua in the 100 meter dash. Logan Thomas is faster too. Indeed, even Blake Bell is only a second slower. Like I told you, Anthony Joshua is not athlete Cam Newton is. He is not even the athlete Logan Thomas is, and Logan Thomas is not the same caliber of athlete as Newton either. Joshua is a great athlete but he is not Cam Newton, not Logan Thomas, not any of these mercurial GOAT black athletes.
I rest my case.
