Literally would only ever get in a helicopter if it was rescuing me from a worse situation ie a sinking ship, would never ride in one voluntarily

The Rotor…
The tail was missing too….likely a rotor strike to the tail boom and disconnected afterwards…
Any very sharp vertical maneuver at speed could do it since the rotors are very flexible but I don’t think that is what happed here with tourists onboard. I believe this was a mechanical failure where the rotor assembly basically detached from the body, chopped off the tail and still had enough energy to continue free spinning into the water…,
