Seem like a Kojima game without the one thing that makes Kojima games work. Kojima.

And obviously heavily inspired by Annihilation film

Yeah, the combat just looked kinda of dull, the characters are ugly as hell, monotone speaking voices, etc…. Idk

the only hook to me seems to be kind of walking around and finding clues and solving puzzles to progress.. thats like the most interesting part

Combat needs another year to get right. Too clunky and not satisfying. Parry and blocking don't feel mechanically fluid.

Tying stamina to Health is a brutal design choice.

Also, fighting against gigantic particles effects wasn't engaging.

Man... I think the demo and media event actually hurt the game's hype.

Granted, it's because it's very mid.

just finished the demo.. I thought it was enjoyable af. I love me some soulslike combat. the graphics are incredible. its just a little intro. Seems to be inspired by a bunch of different games like Zelda, Elden Ring, & Nioh.

The real pull of the game must be the world and the open ended nature of the missions & dungeons, but there's not enough in the demo to really tell. I'm probably in at some point... but I didn't know it was coming out so soon.

Played the demo with no knowledge of the game what so ever.
60 fps feels incredibly smooth. Almost like 120 fps. I was impressed right off the jump.
Unfortunately that was all I was impressed with.
The world feels dull and empty.
The dialogue is mid.
The character movement almost reminds me of Skyrim in 3rd person.
Combat- I had no idea this was a souls like game. Immediately disappointed.
Enemies feel uninspired.
Puzzle elements were boring.
In some ways, its like they tried to emulate the Destiny format of running from this relatively open area to another to reach a "dungeon" with puzzles, loot, and enemies.
I'll be uninstalling the demo tonight and will likely never play the game again.
