I'm not co-signing that source. I looked at their site, and didn't see anything about their methodology. ultimately all these analysts don't have real data, and have to estimate it from looking at achievements/trophies, player counts, reviews, etc. this kind of analysis can produce fairly accurate data, that companies pay good money for, but it's hard to say without any (public) mention of their methodology
nevertheless, sites like eurogamer and insider-gaming ran with this story, and of course it spread throughout the internet. it just shows how easily this low-quality information can spread, even to "trusted" sources
